God’s people had been carried away into captivity in Babylon. King Nebuchadnezzar had created a golden image of himself and issued a decree that anyone who did not bow and worship his image would be cast into a fiery furnace. Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego, three Hebrew children refused to participate in this idolatry. It enraged the King. So when he warned them of their impending fate, he asked, “Who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?’

Here is their answer to him. “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

What an incredible statement of faith. They declare, “God can, we believe He will, but even if He doesn’t.”
I don’t know what your situation may be today. What is the difficulty you are faced with? Is it a disease? Is it a financial challenge? Is it a family crisis? What is your faith like? Do you trust God with absolute faith?

Can you declare, “I know God can resolve my conflict. I know God is able to deal with this situation.” Do you have a faith that believes that God will act graciously in your behalf? Are you trusting Him to resolve your matter at hand?
And is your trust so complete that you know God knows and does what is best, even when you cannot understand His plan. Can you say, “Even if God doesn’t do what I desire, I will faithfully praise and worship Him?”

Today, Know that God can, Believe that God will, and trust Him, even if He doesn’t.
