Andy, where are you?

Posted: March 10, 2012 in Uncategorized

Andy is an interesting name. It can be short for Andrea, thus a girl, or short for Andrew, and therefore likely a boy. We need more Andy’s in our churches. There is an Andy in the first chapter of John’s Gospel. He is a relatively unknown figure most of the time in the New Testament. But he had a famous brother named Simon Peter.

When Andy meets Jesus for the first time he does an amazing thing.”He found first his own brother, Simon, and . . . He brought him to Jesus.” We meet Andy again when the disciples and Jesus are faced with feeding a crowd of 5000. Andy brings a little boy to Jesus, along with his lunch. Everytime we see Andy, he is bringing someone to Jesus.

What about you? Are you leading people to Jesus? One thing that is relatively easy to do is invite someone to go with you where you worship. Invite them to come to church with you. Why not start this week? Why not spend some time today inviting people to join you for worship. You will be glad you did.
