Baptizing Eve

Posted: April 2, 2012 in Uncategorized

I first noticed Hawa (Eve) in August of 2007. She may have been coming all along, but it was this trip she popped out in the open in our lives. It was Sunday morning and I was preaching on heaven. I made a statement that there would be no pain or suffering in heaven. Hawa tapped on the shoulder of one of the ladies on our trip, rolled up her sleeve and showed her a huge absess at the elbow, clear to the bone.

We baptized Eve that afternoon. We also carried her back to the city and to the doctor. She had a bone infection that had fused the bones of her hip together. It has had a permanent crippling affect on her.
She is an older teenager now. Her father says that she is my daughter since we helped her. Her Mom and Dad have subsequently come to Christ and been baptized.

Hawa has changed all of the lives of our people as they have grown to know and love her. She has a contagious smile. She has a life changing laughter. From her hope springs eternal.
